Who are 1st Pass Driving School?

1st Pass Driving School was formed in 2008 by combining Robin`s Driving School and Easypeasy Driving School. We are now one of the larger Independent Driving Schools within the Renfrewshire Area.

We are totally committed to providing high quality driving instruction to pupils at an affordable price. 1st Pass Driving School has gradually built up a very good reputation for delivering quality driver training at an affordable cost to the pupil.

As pupils are our future prosperity and success we believe that if they enjoy each and every lesson they will pass on that experience with 1st Pass Driving School to others.

As a direct result of this, although we generate work from our web pages, we find that our Instructors have a high level of pupil referrals.

We have produced this leaflet to give Driving Instructors who wish to join 1st Pass Driving School some information on who we are and what we are looking for in a Driving Instructor.

What we are looking for

Our reputation as 1st Pass Driving School is very important to us and we believe that it should be very important to the Driving Instructor also.

We are looking for motivated Instructors who believe in our simple philosophy and more importantly that they can apply this philosophy to pupils in the car.

If you believe that you can deliver to a 1st Pass pupil the same quality and standard that is being currently delivered, then why not apply to join us.

Anyone considering joining us at this time has to be a fully qualified A.D.I. with their own car.

We are however considering training our own Instructors in the near future.

1st Pass Franchise

We offer a low weekly franchise fee of £25 and 4 free weeks per year after 6 full months with 1st Pass Driving School.

We require a setup fee of £150, however £75 is repaid to you after 6 full months with us and the remaining £75 after 12 full months with us.

For Pupil referrals they are charged as follows:-
Single lesson – £22
Block of ten - £30
Course price – 8 % of total price

We supply the Unique Instructor and Pupil record system with each pupil. With Courses we also supply any learning aids that are stated as being included in the course price.

Until you have established yourself as a 1st Pass Driving Instructor, you might want us to help by providing you with pupils. Once your reputation as a 1st Pass Driving Instructor is established then you will generate most of your own pupils and build your business.

Franchise costs too high?

The average pupil has 40+ lessons in the car to reach test standard. This means that only 2 pupils each year would be needed to pay for the full cost of the franchise fee. This small investment may enable you to increase your business by attracting more pupils. Please note that the Franchise fee is tax deductible.

As a self employed person you are responsible for your own tax and NI contributions.
